The Village Inn
A warm welcome awaits you at The Village Inn which can be located inside the village hall on Kirkstead Road, Pinxton. Now open Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes as well as every evening from 5.30p.m.
This cosy bar has a good selection of wines and spirits at reasonable prices and a TV. Bar skittles are played on Tuesday evenings in the adjacent main hall. A full bar service is also available for your special function. Call in at the village hall with your enquiry or telephone 01773 580046.
Lantern Parade - Tuesday 9 December 2014
Come along and join us for a Lantern Lit procession through our village
The lighting of the Lanterns will commence at 6.15pm and the Parade will commence from the Village Hall at 6.30pm.
Lanterns and refreshments will be provided. (Please note children must be accompanied by an adult)
Hearts of Gold Remembrance Evening - Thursday 11 December 2014
During the Hearts of Gold Remembrance Evening, music will be provided by Kirkby Colliery Brass Band.
Hearts of Gold may be hung on the tree this year and the names of loved ones will be read out from the Book of Remembrance Anyone who has lost a loved one or a family friend and wishes to have their name read out from the Book of Remembrance on the evening may do so. Help & Advice
The Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centre (DUWC) are also offering free benefits advice at the village Hall every Tuesday from 1-3pm. The service is available to everyone in the local community, whether in work, unemployed, sick or disabled, carers or pensioners. Come and take advantage of this great opportunity to find out about which benefits you may be able to claim. No need for an appointment, just drop in.
